blogs..

Is it a norm for bloggers to blog on blogging? The neophytes must be devoting some amount of their time to think about the philosophy of weblogging. That's why the blog names like "random thoughts.." , "musings of a loafing soul" etc etc, I guess.
Is it indeed a good idea to let people in general, and unknown people, in specific - to peep inside and take a good look at what's going on in your mind (and your life) at a particular time?
Maybe yes, maybe not. lemme find out ;)

with a salute to those who are able to write out their thoughts clearly and make them reach the reader , without sounding to be 'stating the obvious'.

Isn't that what blogging is all about?A cathartic, indeed, therapeutic outpouring of the soul, somewhat akin to being on a psychiatrist's couch with the added advantage of not having to pay through one's nose for it. Besides the blogger still retains control over how much he chooses to reveal-of his identity, of his thoughts, of his feelings.A blog which is simply a compendium of facts is hardly any different from a manual, a FAQ, or a catalogue.

yes milind, i agree with most of what you've said..except for the last sentence. manuals etc are a lot better organised and designed (or shoud be designed!) to convey their message succinctly. blogs do act as a purgatory..a compendium of thoughts rather than facts, I guess.
